Walking in the light sounds scary because it feels like exposure. But God’s light is not like a harsh spotlight that humiliates—it’s like the morning sun that warms, renews, and brings life.

John writes: “The blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.” Notice that? Not some sins. Not the easy-to-forgive ones. All sin. Known and unknown. Past and present.

The light of God is not meant to shame us. It’s meant to cleanse us. When we confess, we’re not dragging ourselves through guilt. We’re stepping into the safety of grace.

Reflection: What would it look like for you to let God’s light shine into your past—without fear of shame?
